Kachemak Bay has some of the best sea kayaking opportunities in the world. The protected waters, tidal variation and critical habitat area designation make for unique and special adventure. Regardless of your kayaking ability, Halibut Cove Adventures will help you experience the beauty and wonder of the wilderness. Our guided six-hour kayaking excursion includes full instruction, equipment and local expert guide.

Halibut Cove Loop  

Kayak around Ismailof Island and explore the community, natural history and ecology of Halibut Cove. For beginner, intermediate & advanced paddlers.

Halibut Cove Lagoon Loop

Kayaking into the Lagoon is for experienced paddlers due to the length of the trip and the technical challenge of navigating a tidal channel. For intermediate & advanced paddlers.

Grewingk Glacier Kayak & Hike

Kayak from Halibut Cove to the Saddle Trail in Kachemak Bay State Park and hike to Grewingk Glacier Lake. For intermediate & advanced paddlers.

   Departures from Halibut Cove                6 Hours

Our Alaskan kayaking trip is perfect for first time paddlers to advanced paddlers who want to explore the region surrounding Halibut Cove. Our fully guided 6 hour kayaking excursion includes full instruction, equipment and a local expert guide.

Staying in Halibut Cove? Kayaking Adventures are available through several lodges in the cove. Please don't hesitate to inquire about Halibut Cove Adventure trips with the front desk.

Staying in Homer? Halibut Cove Adventures will coordinate your transportation to Halibut Cove and all of your adventure needs. Trips departing from Homer include the price of the water taxi. Your reservation will include departure details from the Homer Spit.

        Daily Return Time: 5:00pm
